Josef Koudelka’s ‘Exiles’ is a stone cold classic and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of flicking through its pages. I can also highly recommend ‘The Making of Exiles’ which throws some light on the project and includes some wonderful self-portraits of Josef on the road, as well as layouts and photographs of his original diaries. It’s inspiring and you come away with a renewed appreciation and admiration for a wonderful photographer.
