With Imagination in Mind, a range of tailored photography courses for you
There are many online photography courses out there that will teach you creative photography but I haven’t yet found one that looks at the fundamentals of imagination, interpretation and composition. Through the 3 module series, you’ll get all three wrapped up with an appreciation and understanding of the best photography around. I believe these modules will take your photography to the next level.
The bedrock of creativity is imagination, and modules 1 and 2 as individual learning environments, lay the groundwork for this. Creativity and productivity both require large helpings of imaginative thinking. If your career or home life doesn’t allow the space for this, then these will give you a structure to do so. Module 3 in group form, builds on these learned imaginative strategies and pushes you along the pathway to project work and critical evaluation.
The end game is to lead you to make projects that emerge through personal interests. It’s not a gateway to learning about a specific photographic genre that has a business focus in mind. There are already great courses out there for that. The photography courses are focused on developing your own voice as an imaginative photographer. Will we use creative strategies to help you become more visually literate and better able to interpret locations photographically?
The terms; beginner, amateur, serious amateur or professional, are terms mostly absent from this website. Through my experience in running photography workshops, I’ve recognised there is little relationship between the creation of interesting photographs and photographic experience. Many ‘beginners’ have an eye whilst many established photographers do not. In designing these online courses I’ve levelled the playing field. Whatever your experience, you’ll be a better image-maker by the end.
You may have reached a creative impasse with your photography, in which case you should be open-minded and curious, and become passionate about being creative, rather than necessarily just being passionate for the sake of it. Take a look at how we can help.
