In 2020, the more usual photographic fare of people and town scenes was largely out of bounds so Anthony Hopewell took to walking along tramways, bridleways and traditional walking routes. Devoid of people he photographs the small paths and quiet views experienced during these walks.

Anthony Hopewell has been a practising photographer and filmmaker since graduating in 1973. His recent work centres on issues surrounding the “man-altered” landscape, and includes topographic approaches to subject selection and composition. His images are held in many collections and have been shown internationally.
